Artek Aalto Stackable Chair 611 - Light Grey

Artek Aalto Stackable Chair 611 - Light Grey

One of Alvar Aalto’s first modern furniture designs, Chair 611 was conceived in 1929 as a practical chair for everyday use in almost any environment. The frame is made of solid birch wood while the seat and seat back are constructed from sturdy woven 100% linen. A sustainable fabric, the linen is light and breathable with subtle duo-tone colors that create an interesting optical effect. The fabric webbing yields when sat on, making the Chair 611 extremely comfortable. The chair can be easily rewoven, adding to its lifespan and is stackable up to five chairs. The legs have mounted felt glides. Made in Finland, Chair 611 has been in continuous production since 1929 and measures 31.5h x 19w x 19.25”d. Both Alvar Aalto and the chair’s manufacturer, Artek, have work in MoMA’s collection. Assembly required.
